Peace on the Middle East Express

Por dbloggers

Violence in the Middle East will come to an end. At least that's what the United States’ government that through Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law, says to have "the plan of the century" to achieve peace in that area. The ceasefire planned by the US authorities is aimed to be perennial. However, the president's adviser announced that the pacification process will be carried out with or without the contribution of Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, a fact that is the chronicle of a death foretold for the aforementioned agreement. In an interview with Al-Quds newspaper, the Kushner blamed Abbas for being the main opponent of peace in the region.

The statements were made public after Kushner and adviser Jason Greenblatt met with the ambassadors of the United Nations Security Council and asked for their support for the next peace plan. On their side, the Americans, in the voice of Nikki Haley, their representative at the UN, continue to reinforce the fallacy that the proposal for a peace plan is about to be concluded. "The plan will not be loved by any of the parties, and it will not be hated by any of the parties either but it's a template to start talking about", Haley said at a conference at the University of Chicago.

Actually, Jared Kushner is very hypocritical or is not aware of the actions of the administration to which he works for because the United States stirred fueled the fire when he unilaterally decided to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move its diplomatic headquarters to that city.

The United States, in addition to generating a wave of protests in the Arab world, caused the mood between Israelis and Palestinians to heat up again due to this arbitrary decision. Trump’s government was able to veto a project presented at the UN to disown Jerusalem as the capital of Israelis and even threatened all those who voted against.

So, you have to ask Jared: Is it really Mahmoud Abbas or his father-in-law who does not want peace?

In his statements to Al-Quds newspaper, the senior advisor blatantly blames the Palestinian government of Abbas for the heavy fighting in the region. Also, according to Ivanka Trump's husband, Abbas’ leadership is not convenient for Palestine. Jared condemned Abbas’ lack of actions to conclude an agreement. "The Palestinian leaders fear the Palestinian people love our peace because it would offer them a better life", he told the newspaper.

The representatives of the current administration are clear reflections of the US president's egomania and ignore ethnic and cultural problems present in the current conflict. They try to impose their will and of course, make the world believe that they are the ones who are going in the right direction when the reality is different.

Despite this, leaders from Israel, Jordan, Qatar, Egypt and Saudi Arabia decided to meet with Donald Trump's adviser to analyze the worsening humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and listen to his proposal for peace.

However, the terms and conditions that the United States will propose haven’t been announced yet. Although to have a hint, Kusnher supports the decision of his father-in-law that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. Then it’s rational to imagine that the Palestinians will benefit from the best part in the peace strategy that the Americans will handle. It is known by the public opinion that the United States and Israel are inseparable and in terms of foreign policy both act as one entity.

Among the few and scarce details offered by Jared Kushner besides not excluding the Palestinians, economic prosperity was predicted for Palestine. Perhaps Jared refers to the same prosperity that Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan have had after the Yankee intervention to achieve harmony in those lands.

The United States is very good in many areas of knowledge, in economics and politics but if there is a matter in which they are completely lost is in achieving stability in the Middle East. Since they have poked their noses in the region terrorism has increased ostensibly and internecine wars and violence hover as apocalyptic riders. Of course, they say nothing about it but everybody knows they seek to strengthen their right hand: Israel. Hence there are doubts that pop immense as the Sahara about this peace agreement.

While the attacks are on both sides, the humanitarian situation becomes more serious and the violations of human rights by the Israelis happen daily although logically it is better to blame the United Nations Human Rights Council for blindness and bias. Poor Israelis! They are the ones threatened with state-of-the-art weapons: the Intifada rock! The same ones that for generations have been launched to counteract the other side obsolete weapons: semi-automatic assault rifles, tanks and grenade launchers.

The Palestinians have attacked Trump's negotiating team. Their negotiator, Saeb Erekat, accused Kushner of trying to overthrow Abbas's autonomous government, as well as sabotaging UN humanitarian aid for refugees. He also calls for the United States to be excluded from the process of pacification because of its bias demonstrated repeatedly with the Hebrew nation.

Abbas' spokesman, Nabil Abu Rdeneh, has also made accusations and said that East Jerusalem should be the capital of an independent Palestinian state.

Far from the real religious implications of Palestinians and Israelis, there is the world gendarme: the United States. Recently the Israeli press revealed that the current US administration wants to use Israel as a bridge between the Persian Gulf and Europe but in order to do that they must have the consent of the Palestinian Authority and Jordan.

One of the ideas handled is the construction of a railroad linking Israel and Saudi Arabia, both strong investors to ensure the economic stability of the main partners of the United States and the nation itself. Several journalists estimate that the new iron road would link the port of Haifa with Saudi Arabia, and cross the Palestinian city of Jenin and Jordan, which would facilitate a new route for European products to the gulf and vice versa.

Let’s wait for the official presentation of the peace agreement reached by the Americans and of course, from now on, get the tickets for the next express train to the Middle East.
